#makeit with Carly Phillips

On the 19th January we were visited by Carly Phillips, a former Juice Academy apprentice who was selected to work as Bruntwood’s first Social Media apprentice. With a love for all things Social Media, Carly is also a lifestyle blogger outside of work. Carly shared her experiences and advice about how to #makeit in the creative world of marketing and social media.

At just 22, Carly has had an amazing career working with many different brands, but in 2015, Carly was asked to go back to her roots and join The Juice Academy as Programme Assistant and Tutor. Marrying her love for Social Media and passion for helping young people, Carly now helps to give people a foot through the digital door.

The Juice Academy is the brainchild of Tangerine, a Manchester-based full service marketing agency committed to supporting the next generation of ‘bright young things’ into the marketing profession.

”Young people ‘live’ on social media, the Juice Academy connects young talent with businesses through its social media apprenticeship course, giving them an attractive alternative to University.” Carly Phillips

We look forward to working with Juice Academy in the future and hopefully sending some of social media stars to become Juice Academy Students.

Open Evening

Our next open evening will be held on 9th February 2017. If you want to #makeit in Fashion, Business or Engineering then come along. You will receive a guided tour of our state-of-the-art school and can chat with our Headteacher about making an application for September 2017.

Studio Festive Feast

Friday 16th December was Studio@Deyes’ first all school Christmas dinner.

Our two wonderful cooks prepared a sumptuous feast for our staff and students. After eating the dinner with all the trimmings, staff & students played Christmas games, listened to some appropriately festive music and told some terrible Christmas cracker jokes.

Thank you to all the staff & students who helped make the afternoon so memorable and we look forward to many more in the future.
