We have 3 specialisms linked to Business, Engineering and Fashion. However, we are specialists in lots of other things too as we are part of a Trust with other larger schools and they provide wider support. The key thing is you and how you best learn, we aim to tailor make a learning package for you so that you can follow the pathway of your choice. We do not make you do EBACC although you can if that is what you want to do.

Please look at the section on this website on curriculum to see other subjects and opportunities that we offer. Alternatively, give us a call or visit us and we will chat things through with you.

Students aged 14 and upwards. We are split into two areas. The first is the Studio for 14 to 16 year olds and the second is the College for 16 to 18 year olds.

We are based on the Wavertree Technology Park close to the Sony offices, right next door to the train station and next to the bus stop that provides a connection to most places in Liverpool and wider to St Helens, Widnes, Runcorn etc.

We are really easy to get to by public transport and our current students travel from all over Liverpool, Maghull, Southport, Widnes, Runcorn, Warrington, The Wirral and St Helens.

We have chosen this location because it is truly a learning and work related environment. However, at present we commission some free transport by mini bus/coach to outer lying areas, particularly from Maghull and Kirkby and Widnes /Runcorn.

We will always listen if transport is an issue to see if we can help somehow. Transport should not be a blocker to learning.

We are frequently asked this question as we appear to the outside as a Public Fee Paying School. We are not. We are state funded and entirely free to students.

The benefits are the same though as we have small classes, bespoke curriculum, tailored pathways and a family based approach built on high standards.

You have lots of support with a personal coach who guides you through school, an employment engagement officer who supports your career and work related learning and a student support officer and SENCO should you need specific support.

The key is, however, that we are small and we work together and know each other well.

Work experience and work related learning comes in all sorts of packages from external long or short term placements to internships within the Studio. However, we offer a broad range of experiences, some of which are littered across our website.

Some of our key partners are Alstom, Barclays, Cricket, The Leather Satchel company, Scottish Power, Studio 76 dance studios, Unilever, Fiddlers Ferry power etc. We also source partners according to learning packages and your need and we have a dedicated team working with employers daily.

We will work with students who are dedicated and want to do well. If we become too popular we will follow our admissions policy as outlined on the policies section on this website.

Please look at the different sections of this website, but nothing substitutes for the real thing so please give us a call and you can come along and visit. Alternatively, we offer a “Drop –In” session at 4pm – 6pm every Thursday evening and have scheduled “Discovery Days” that allow you to come along and get involved. Please see the website for more details.
