Head of School
Educated at St. Margaret’s High School in Aigburth. John studied for a degree in Design and Technology at Edgehill University. He started teaching at Childwall Sports College before moving to New Heys Community school as Lead learner for Technology. During his time at Enterprise South Liverpool Academy, John was Curriculum Director for Science and Technology and was the driving force behind STEM across the school which led him to a role as a leadership consultant at a school in Middlesbrough, were he worked with developing under performing departments and staff. Before joining Studio@Deyes John was part of the senior leadership team at The Grange in Runcorn.
Having taken the vocational route through higher education Victoria achieved a HNC and then Honours Degree through the University of Sunderland, whilst progressing through her career in a variety of industries including the motor trade, financial services and social services.
Victoria then completed her PGCE in Business Education at Edge Hill University, achieving Masters qualification. She began her teaching career in Darwen Aldridge Community Academy, where she was responsible for learning & progress across the Vocational Faculty, with additional responsibility for creating the national program for Careers Academy UK. Before joining Studio@Deyes Victoria was Head of Community Engagement & Business Enterprise at Sandymoor Free School.
Katy is the Fashion and Textiles teacher at Studio@Deyes and is also a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Katy began her love for the subject in school where she studied textiles for both GCSE and A.level. Katy knew that this was her passion and followed this path onto university to complete two degrees. Katy studied Fashion Design and Production and then went on to study for a BA in International Fashion Business.
While studying for her degree Katy became involved in volunteering for which she was able to teach Fashion. Katy went on to gain her PGCE and started her teaching career at Rainhill High School, teaching Textiles and a range of other subjects. It was there that Katy progressed to Head of department.
When Katy saw the advert for Studio@Deyes she knew it was where she wanted to work. Katy is privileged to be with the school in its opening years and to help it develop and grow into the top school to study fashion in Liverpool.
