Our sister school Deyes High is the lead school for AMP SCITT which is the Lydiate Learning Trust’s teacher training centre. If you are interested in a career in teaching then this is the perfect way to start.
The Associated Merseyside Partnership SCITT (AMP SCITT) is a strong and collaborative partnership of schools and colleges across the Merseyside area with a number of distinctive features that contribute to diversity and choice for trainees.
AMP’s commitment is to ensure that the next generation of teachers are equipped on every level to inspire young people of the future and deliver an educational experience and outstanding outcomes for all the children and young people.
AMP has an excellent training and employment record. All 2014/15 trainees completed the course and passed with a grading of good or outstanding. In addition all trainees who applied for teaching posts were successfully appointed to an NQT post maintaining our 100% record.
The wide variety of partner schools is a major strength of our centre. We can offer trainees a teaching experience in a mixed comprehensive, an 11-18 school, a Roman Catholic school, a single sex school, a studio school, and an Academy. The range of subject specialisms and awards to be found within AMP is exceptional.
In short AMP has friendly, well-equipped schools that offer a wide range of educational experiences and understand the needs of Initial Teacher Training. To find out more information and to apply for your place on our course for 2017, click on the button below.
