It has been a busy and productive term and as we come to the end of 2017 I would like to celebrate the many successes we have enjoyed this year.
Our Sixth Form students have participated in many amazing opportunities such as a taster session of radio presenting, engineering talks from external companies and a visit to Shop Direct. Whilst students in Year 11 have completed mock exams in English, Maths and Science.
Careers@Deyes has flourished this term with a staggering amount of business representatives attending our business breakfasts, as well as our new on site employer hub KMC Sports Limited setting up within the school.
During the last week of term, all staff and students celebrated the upcoming holiday season together with a Christmas dinner, served by the SLT team. We even had a special visit from Father Christmas during lunch time!
As we near the end of term it is also important to realise and understand the changes that will occur in January, which will be explained thoroughly in a letter to be sent home. All of the staff and I are looking forward to the start of the New Year as the school moves forward, continuing our journey of success. Together, as a school community, we will be able to create an environment where if we can believe it, we will achieve it.
On behalf of myself and all of the staff at Studio@Deyes we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
